Episode Notes

Introducing the Girl Scouts of Maine’s new Media Squad initiative. Designed to empower Girl Scouts to share their experiences with peers and become active spokespeople across various media channels, this opportunity will equip participants with the skills and platforms to effectively promote the values, benefits, and experiences of being part of the organization.

True to the - girl-led, learning-by-doing, and cooperative learning - tenets that are embedded into the structure of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, we will be moving the Passion to Action series into the hands of the girls.

As part of the Media Squad Brand Ambassador Program, we will teach girls how to host, produce, edit, and distribute podcasts, Livestreams, and other content associated with the series - over the course of 2024.

Today we’ll be speaking with Laura Genese, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications for the Girl Scouts of Maine, and Helen Ruhlin, Marketing and Communications Specialist for the Girl Scouts of Maine.

We are excited to tell you more about the GSME Media Squad and the exciting changes coming up for the Passion to Action series.
